Even if you assume that it is a major turf war going on in the Caucasus, America could not allow another evident failure happening after the fiasco in Iraq. It is always more costly to be fighting with an Islamic nation directly. And even though America is more successful in Hollywood studios, it is still good at making troubles and intrigues in the so-called third world countries.
