Mounuments, Sculptores & Architecture in Tbilisi

The Georgian people’ s courageous struggle for national independence and their cultural past are illustrated by numerous monuments of the past.

* Vakhtang Gorgassali Monument
Sculptor - Elguja Amashukeli, Architects -Teimuraz Kandelaki and David Morbedadze.
* The Statue of the 19th century Georgian romantic poet Nikoloz Baratashvili
Sculptor-Boris Tsabadze, architect - Shota Kkavlashvili. Baratashvili dedicated his wonderful verse-”Twilight Over Mtatsminda”.
* Sachino – The palace of Queen Darejan-built in 1776 by King Erekle II for his wife.
* Statue of Niko Pirosmani-a self-taught Georgian painter of the late 19th century. It’s in the garden - by the sulphur baths. Sculptor-Elguja Amashukeli, Architect-Nodar Mgaloblishvili.
* Memorial to the 300 Aragvians in Gorgasali Street. Architect-Alexander Bakradze.
* Monument to Zacharia Paliashvili
Sculptor- Merab Berdzenishvili.
* The bronze figure of a Muze.
