FACEBOOK: Question: what do you thinking about the end of the OSCE-Mission in Georgia?

My personal attitude is that since its first appearance in Georgia, the OSCE-mission has been an absolutely useless and ineffective organ writing a bunch of ambiguous reports which had no single reaction ever. This mission seemed to be a certain tool for Europeans to pretend to be doing something and avoid real responsibilities. So, if they leave, that's not a tragedy at all. The same for UN mission.

I completely agree with Davit

Nino Khelaia um 22:53 am 23. Dezember
The problem with Georgians was that they were, and still are somehow expecting that international organizations are supposed to resolve disputes and thus establish peace in the region.... therefore, since the above mentioned goal has not been yet implemented one may easily conclude that such organizations are obsolete, and they may bring OSCE as an evidence.....First, people have to get the concept of IOs, and then talk about its efficiency ....if you were keeping track to OSCE initiated adn implemente actions in Georgia, and particularily in South Ossetia, you would not have thought that "they were absolutely useless".

Victory for Russia, powerlessness of the EU!...and it´s already funny to hear EU´s one more embarrassing expression of regret.

at the end no one is really interested in prosperity of Georgia. everyone is just using us and need our territory and saakashvili is thinking that US ll help him. all this is just war between Russia and US and we r as if the reason. if they continue like this 3rd world war might start between Russia, UK, US, Iran and so on and they ll just go over us. and thats it. the end of story with Georgia

Nino Khelaia um 00:03 am 24. Dezember
thats what some lela kakulia-kind guys say... :) lool... @Sophie

I agree with David, maybe just partly. Whatever, main point here is that Russia does it's steps forward, Georgia is loosing and EU will loose it's image and on the long run maybe not only that if it hugs Putin's Russia warmly. Yes they were doing reports, but now there will be even not that. I am afraid, because I think withdrawing OSCE-Mission from Georgia is probably step between steps ... ? ? ? So whats now the next? :/

Natalie Chelidze um 00:36 am 24. Dezember
the next? -withdrawing UN from Georgia

Nino Apshinashvili um 09:01 am 24. Dezember
I totally agree with David.

Sofia Sopiko Alelishvili um 10:08 am 24. Dezember
DAVIT ALREADY SAID WHAT I WANTED TO SAY.

Nino Sharashidze um 19:08 am 24. Dezember
Dear Davit and others, whether OSCE mission was useless or not, Georgia has not made decision about its closing. It was decided elsewhere without our participation...

Nino Apshinashvili um 20:11 am 24. Dezember
Sure!We know who made that decision.OSCE mission was mandated to post observers in South Ossetia, and as far as I know they had opportunity to boost their number by another 80,but in fact they didn't succeed. I can say the same about EU observers.. they aren't allowed into the two breakaway regions yet.

Tamy Kurtanidze um 21:12 am 24. Dezember
I should agree with Ninos; this is not about what OSCE was doing in Georgia, but why it has terminated its activities. The fact speaks for itself. Cat plays with mouse. Happily the mouse befriended a "EU watchdog" but its chained yet...
