CALL: BIAFF - call for entries for " Young Film Maker's compeition section" (biaff.org)

BIAFF (Batumi International Art-House Film Festival) in 2009 is adding the "Young Film Maker's compeition section".

The competition section will have the following awards:
- Grand Prix- Best film
- Best film director
- Jury special prize

Films will be judged by international jury of five members.

At this moment we are expecting to have films from 10-12 countries for Young Film Maker's compeition section. In this section will be screened 30-35 short films (Feature, Doc, Animation, Experimental).

- The age of film makers
- 20- 30 year (in expetion few years older can be considered too)
- The films should be production of 2008 or 2009
- The format is not limitied for this section - can be DV

8. MASTER’S COLLECTION – 5-6 films of well-known film directors
9. MEET THE JURY section – 3 films of jury member film directors
10. Young film makers / Students section (competition) – 30 films (short films)

4. Best Documentary film
5. Best male actor
6. Best female actor

And special additional prizes:
- Award for lifetime achievement in world cinema (foreign film maker)
- Award for outstanding contribution in cinematography (Georgian film maker)
