EXHIBITION: Helga Paris in Tbilisi History Museum (museum.ge)

On March 1, 2013 at 6 p.m, Institute of International Relations (IFA) and the Goethe Institute in cooperation with Georgian National Museum, presents a well-known photographer, human rights defender, Helga Paris with the exhibition "Helga Paris. Photography".

The exhibition presents Helga Paris' photographs that are created in Georgia and other countries. These series are connected with her biography.  Helga Paris grew up in Poland during World War II. Her creative way starts from a photographic laboratory. Helga Paris created a costume workshop, also worked in advertising studios and took photos during rehearsals.

During her creative life Helga created different series of photographs: "Berlin pubs", "Berlin youth", "and Memories Z", "Women and men, Podroz Polska". In 80th Helga Paris traveled to Georgia and created photos on feminine theme.

The exhibition presents one of the most uncompromising photographers, who always fights for civic and moral transformation. Helga Paris is a master of portrait genre. She develops her own investigations in different directions and is always in search of novelty in photography .
